The study room of the famous mathematician Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) in the Royal Society which had not been used after his death, was made available to Ramanujan (1887-1920), the greatest Indian Mathematician. He was the first Indian to be elected to be coveted fellowship of the Royal Society of England.

Dear All, Pi Day is held to celebrate the mathematical constant Ο€ (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14) , due to Ο€ being approximately equal to 3.14. Pi Minute is also sometimes celebrated on March 14 at 1:59 p.m. If Ο€ is truncated to seven decimal places, it becomes 3.1415926, making March 14 at 1:59:26 p.m., Pi Second (or sometimes March 14, 1592 at 6:53:58 a.m.). The Pi Day celebration includes public marching, consuming fruit pies and playing pi games... The founder of Pi Day was Larry Shaw, a now retired physicist at the Exploratorium who still helps out with the celebrations.        Pi has been calculated to be over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern.
