Worth Reading: MESSAGE BY SHIV KHERA TO YOUNG GENERATION

MESSAGE BY SHIV KHERA TO YOUNG GENERATION 1. Take pride in performance People who take pride in their performance hold themselves accountable to much higher standards than others do. They always strive to do the right thing, first time every time. To them, good is not good enough. 2. Get involved Remember, 'If we are not part of the solution then we are the problem'. There are people who have a habit of constantly criticising anything and everything no matter where they are. They only want to criticise without taking any corrective measures. However, if you don't want to get involved then you have no right to criticise. Either get involved or shut up. 3. Always put in extra efforts If you read through the life history of the most successful people, you will find they have all lived by one principle and that is, "I shall always give more than what I get, to my family, my organisation, my customers and my society". Winners always put in ex...

Pi Approximation Day

Image
Dear Readers, Do you know what’s special about today,   22 July?  Well, today is Pi Approximation Day. Pi Approximation Day celebrates the mathematical constant Ï€ (pi). It is observed on July 22, due to Ï€ being roughly equal to 22/7. The fractional approximation of Ï€ , 22 ⁄ 7 , resembles the date July 22 in the   day/month   format, where it is written 22/7. Pi Approximation Day is therefore celebrated on July 22. In geometry, pi is defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. July 22, often written as 22/7, is an appropriate day to explore pi, since 22 divided by 7 is an approximation of pi. Pi Approximation Day is celebrated in a number of ways, including contests to memorize pi to the most decimal places, solving math problems involving pi, discovering the history of pi, ruminating on how life would be different without pi and—of course—eating pie. At my school, a competition 'Math's Wizard' was held today for classes VI - XII. It...
